Get involved in the 24 hour road bike challenge as a soloist or with friends!
24 hour racing is a fairly new concept and we ran the first event of its kind in ireland in 2009.
Don’t be put off by the name, you won’t be literally cycling for 24 hours. If you’re not a fitness fanatic then why not think about joining as a team. Every team member must complete one lap as a minimum which is achievable for even the Sunday cyclists.
The exact route for the 2010 event is still being finalised and will be posted here as soon as the course planner has signed off on it.

We as the event organisers carry public liability insurance for the duration of the event. We would strongly encourage the competitors of the event to take out their own personal accident insurance. Such insurance can be taken out with any organisation of the competitor’s choice.
The weekend will feature two races, a 24hr mountain bike race or a 24hr road race, and is open to teams and soloists. The aim is to be the individual, or team, who completes the most number of laps within a 24hr period.
We have several categories within which you can race:
- Solo – Do you think you are fit enough to do this on your own? Why not find out!
- Duo .
- Teams of 3– 5
- Teams of 10 – Get a group of friends or work colleagues together to test yourselves and most importantly have fun!
- Teams of 4 Golden Oldies – this team must make a combined age of 200
Due to insurance reasons we cannot accept anyone under the age of 18 into any of our events. All participants must be 18 years old on the date of the event.
