New Training Days in Dublin Launched
Gaelforce is coming to Dublin!
With have had great success with our training weekends at Killary so we thought we would bring them to Dublin in 2012. We will still be running 2 days training weekends in Killary but we will now also be running them in Dublin and Wicklow for 2 Saturdays of every month from January to April inclusive.
These training days will be divided into two levels. Begininners and Intermediate.
The Begininners will be aimed at those who are very keen to make a change in their lives and like the thought of running an adventure race but have no idea how to go about it and how fit they need to be.We have started the training in January so it will give plenty of time to be ready for our first race the Connemara Adventure Challange in May and hopefully on to Gaelforce West in August. Some of our top instructors will be running these weekends and will teach you all you need with regards actual skills but also with regards your fitness levels.
The Intermediate would be suitable for those who are already in training but not to a particularly high level. For example someone who is comfortable running 10km or cycling 20km without it taking too much out if them. Our instructors will develop your skills such as down hill running, improvers kayak skills, and learning how to get most out of your bikes. It will also show you how to increase your fitness levels so you can compete to your best advantage on race day.
As all our instructors are all adventure racers, (Brian and Chris are on the Irish Team) they will be able to give you invaluable tips on gear, diet, race day calorie consumption, bike mechanics, tyre choice and many other tips that perhaps regular fitness trainers may not be too familiar with.
