Westport Map

Below is a basic map that can be used to orientate yourself with Westport in relation to the Gaelforce West race on race day. You can download it here Westport_Map.pdf

The map highlights the following;

The car parks for GFW competitors with parking permits only. You must have booked one of these permits by emailing info@gaelforceevents.com with your booking ID, Wave and Accommodation base.

Those without a parking permit can park in other town car parks but will have to pay for their parking there.

The finish area on the Quays
The Westport Greenway that is to be used by competitors returning to their parked cars or accommodation in Westport town. This is for walking/cycling only.
The Bus collection point on Mill Street

Walking Times from:

Mill Street Car park - Approx 1 minute
CBS School Car park - Approx 5 minutes
Portwest Car park - Approx 10 minutes
Tesco Car park - Approx 5 minutes

Make sure you leave enough time to walk from your car park/accommodation to the Mill Street Bus pick-up. It is your responsibility to arrive in time for your bus, these walking times are a guide only. If you miss you bus you will have to wait until the last bus leaves at 9am and only if there is space on that bus will you be accommodated. So DON'T be late!

After you Cross the Finishline

After you have completed the event and have taken a well deserved rest, we ask that you please cycle your bike back to your car park or accommodation. DO NOT get picked up, as this causes congestion at the Quays, is dangerous and disrupts the local businesses.There will also be NO PARKING at the Quays. Cars that are parked causing a disruption to businesses or to the event will be towed by the town council.
