The route

Stage 1: Belmont Demesne, purpose-built trail, heather paths

Start at the historic Belmont Estate and head up towards the back of little Sugar Loaf mountain - a climb of about 180 metres over 2km. Enjoy the stunning and dramatic views across the Wicklow hills and out to the Irish Sea.

Stage 2: Trail

Descending down into the magnificent Killruddery Estate, wind your way back through heather paths, trails and ancient woodland to return to Belmont Demesne and cross the finish line.

Route Terrain

The route varies from sealed roads, wet bog, forest trails and gravel paths. Expect the unexpected!

Bring your crew along!

The start and finish line are located at Belmont Demesne. There are excellent facilities here – ample car parking, a café, fabulous grounds and lots for spectators to do while they wait for you to cross the finish line.

It’s an afternoon event, so no early starts required. All in all, a great summer day out for everyone!
